People who wish to attend the summer school must fill out the application form below. Eligible applications will be reviewed and those selected to participate in the school will be notified by email. Important dates for the application and selection process are the following:

A two week period will be allowed for selected candidates to confirm participation. After that time any remaining seats will be offered to candidates from waiting lists. Selected candidates who confirm their participation will be requested to register. Registration instructions will be provided to selected participants.

Who should apply (target participants)?

Ideal candidates for IHPCSS are graduate students in computational sciences with HPC relevance, who have already gathered some research and HPC experience, and postdocs in computational sciences with HPC relevance in an early phase of their research.

Important evaluation criteria

Important evaluation criteria include:

• Strong scientific/technological reasons for participation
• IHPCSS can contribute to advance research goals
• Engagement in code development
• Experience with HPC programming (MPI, OpenMP)

To also encourage participation from disciplines with HPC as emerging technology (e.g. biomedical and social sciences), HPC experience for applicants from those disciplines will enter with reduced weight.
